Dr. Musannah Ashfaq is a passionate neurosurgeon who graduated from Mymensingh Medical College and completed MS in Neurourgery from Dhaka Medical College under Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University.
Additionally he gathered experience by working with renowned neurosurgeons of Bangladesh and India in both government and corporate setting of the country. He is well accustomed with modern neurosurgical instruments including craniotome, drill, operating microscope, endoscope, neuromonitoring system. He also worked as the Registrar, Neurosurgery department in IBN SINA SPECIALIZED hospital in 2021. Then moved to Square Hospital as specialist, Neurosurgery department in 2022.
Dr. Musannah has been exposed to all ranges of Brain and Spine emergencies from trauma to strokes; spine fracture, cauda equina syndrome. He gathered experience by actively attending hundreds of brain tumor and spinal tumor surgeries and was actively involved with pituitary tumor, craniopharyngioma surgery through nose by endosopy. Furthermore, he has endless quests for skull base and vascular surgery and also has special interest in paediatric surgeries including hydrocephalus, myelomeningocele.
To learn the newest technologies he attended endovascular conference LIINC, ASIA in Singapore, 2018. In May, 2019 he went to ASAN medical Centre, South korea and observed the newer treatment methods of Moya- Moya disease. He also praticipated in WFNS Special World Congress, 2019, Beijing, China. He is involved with different national and international publications as well.
