Prof. Dr. Sohely Rahman completed her medical graduation from Rajshahi Medical College and successfully passed her FCPS in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation from Bangladesh College of Physicians and Surgeons (BCPS) in 1996. Then, she started her career under Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and worked in different Medical Colleges & Hospitals across the country in her 36 years of profession.

She worked in BSMMU for 7 years; after that she was appointed as Assistant Professor of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at National Institute of Diseases of Chest & Hospital (NIDCH). Then she joined as Associate Professor in National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases (NICVD) and served there for several years. Later, she worked as Professor & Head of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation in 3 well known hospitals, i.e. Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College & Hospital, National Institute of Traumatology & Orthopedic Rehabilitation (NITOR) and lastly in Dhaka Medical College &Hospital for 11 years.

Dr. Sohely completed some overseas training, especially on Spinal Cord Injury Rehabilitation from Stroke Mandeville Hospital, Aylesbury, UK. Then she has completed her training on Traumatic Brain Injury Rehabilitation from Northwick Park Hospital, London, UK.    

Prof. Dr. Sohely is well experienced and capable of independently providing high quality patient care-diagnose, treat, manage and admit patients under her name.

She joins Square Hospital as Senior Consultant, Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation.
